I plan on taking it to the dealer to have it checked out soon, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this issue with their 2010. Three days ago, when I start the car, a LOUD rattle noise appears to be coming from behind the glove box. The fan should just drop down. I am hoping somebody can shed some light onto my issue. It seems like there's a little too much play when my glove box is latched closed and when I go over very consistent washboard type freeway surface (a lot in the Bay Area), I get a rattling/knocking sound coming from the glove box. When we are running the AC sometimes there is a loud ticking sound coming from behind the glove box. Below is a list of complaints & problems filed against the 2013 CADILLAC XTS. I have a 2004 Tahoe and just recently it has started making a constant clicking noise that from what I can tell is coming from behind the dash. Remove anything and everything from the vehicle and I mean everything. My 2010 SRT (so cal/south bay-late afternoon outside temp 61 degrees) while after finishing hwy speeds there is a clicking noise or rattle under the driver side dash which sounds like it is right around the speaker. As you can see, the rubber wears out and the connector in the middle is free to wiggle and knock around. Does not occur again until engine has turned off for a brief period. Is it some thing to do with air circulation or something. It was the Actuator. A few weeks later i have noticed a clonking knocking noise from the o/s/f wheel/suspension area when i go over bumps and dips on the road surface the sound sounds like it's coming from the lower area no clicking when turning or cv joint type sound. The predictable pumping was replaced by a shaking and apparent short stroking like ticking. The spring was accessed by removing the glove box. Does anyone know how to get access to it? The Tech's at Speedy seem to pull it in an out with no problems. Interesting the variation in glove box openers.
